ITWBN Event in the Genlo Abbey
So I’m going to my 2nd Bloggers event this weekend and I can’t wait!
Unfortunately the last 2 months have been hectic so only finally finished my blog post on my 1st event. I promise I’ll be better.
I attended the Into The West Bloggers Network (ITWBN) event at the beginning of November in the beautiful Glenlo Abbey Hotel. It was organised by Sinead of Yummy Mummy blog and Siabh of Siabh Egan Photography.
This was my first bloggers event and I’m not going to lie… I was petrified! Well, not for long! When I arrived I was greeted with a warm welcome and received my 1st goodie bag. I was delighted to see some Young blood makeup. I’ve heard some great things and was dying to try them.
After some punch and mingling at my table the event started.
Helen Mannion from lifes2good talked to us about Vivival hair supplements and their newest product Micronail – this amazing little thing shines and buffs your nails. I found it incredible that the No1 hair product was Irish and from Galway. Can’t beat the West!
Next up was Ann Halloran from In-Tuition. She chatted about all the ins and outs of making your blog a success using online marketing and making it more searchable with SEO.
Then to round up the evening Philip Gleeson from Quickest Fox Marketing gave us a run down of the do’s and don’ts of Twitter. This was a real eye-opener for me – apart from the basics, I hadn’t a clue about Twitter.
Then came some amazing food. We had yummy home-made mini burgers, prawns wrapped in filo, gorgeous pate, and home-made potato wedges. I had already tucked in when I remembered I should have taken a picture! Whoops!
There was also some pop-up shops showcasing some of the products from Pia Galway, Stella and Dot, Sheneil Shoes, Little Pea Juices and Cotton Face Vintage. I picked up a lovely fur stole in Cotton Face Vintage. Perfect with my leather jacket.
Two local authors were also there to do some book signings – Michelle Melville and the Galway Player.
My favourite part of the day was meeting the amazing bloggers. I met some lovely people and made some new friends.
Can’t wait for the next one, and I promise to be a lot faster posting about it.
Love Foxy xo
