AmsterdamThere is so much more to Amsterdam than the Red Light District and Coffeeshops.

Where to begin…. oh yes, the shopping!!!

There is a shopping experience for everyone in Amsterdam. Most of the High Street stores are just off Dam Square. Nieuwendijk and Kalverstraat are both long narrow streets either side of Dam Square. Magna Plaza houses lots of lovely boutiques as well as high street store Mango. And if you’re interested in Designer and Vintage, the beautiful 9 Streets area is for you.  This area is beautifully decorated with lights – very romantic for a stroll.  This was how I got my Husband to go there. He thought we were going for a stroll but little did he know we were going shopping!

Bare Minerals

Bare MineralsBare Minerals has to be my all time beauty favourite. I use most of their products from cleanser to foundation. I have super sensitive skin and find this range amazing! My skin has never been better.

Their skincare range is made using Active Soil Complex (minerals from soil). Sounds gross but once you try it you will never go back. If you don’t want to commit you can buy their travel kit for around 25 euro to try. Cleanser is 19 euro and their moisturiser is a lil’ pricey at 34 euro but its definitely worth it. They only negative thing is they don’t have a toner. I use a different brand but would love to see them bring one out. Toning is such an important step.

The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour

Just saw Beyonce on Sunday night at her Mrs Carter Show World Tour! Amazing! I brought my bestie Aoife for her Birthday/Christmas pressie. I decide to treat us and buy early entry tickets! This allowed us into the venue 10mins before everyone else! I would highly recommend it if you’re a big fan! We were 2nd row from the front!
Beyonce didn’t disappoint! Firstly, she is beautiful… absolutely flawless! Secondly, she has the most amazing voice you will even hear! And thirdly… what a fantastic concert! She has included a lot of her new material from her visual album Beyonce. It  might be my favorite album yet!

Fashion at The Oscars 2014

So it’s that time of year again when the elite of Hollywood put on their glad rags and walk the red carpet. Yes it’s Oscar time!!!
The fashion as always was the most talked about. Well don’t get me started on Leo not winning because that could take all day, so I am going to concentrate on the fashion!
The theme this year was simple, sophisticated dresses with a lot of emphasis on detail, whether it was embellishment or statement jewellery. Nudes and pastels were in abundance.
Tiffany’s Jewellery was definitely a favourite with Amy Adams, Jessica Biel and more wearing the elegant brand. Let’s not forget Jennifer Lawrence with her beautiful necklace worn draped to the back! (New trend alert!)

Weightloss with LighterLife

Weightloss Lighterlife

After much consideration I finally decided that my first article should be about my biggest achievement, the one that gave me the confidence to get up and start my Blog which has been years in the making!

I’ve spent the majority of my adult life overweight. I’ve lost weight in the past with Weight Watchers, found it hard and then gave up. The usual story but I kinda settled on the fact that I would never be thin. The next thing I knew fast forward a couple of years and I found myself at a massive 17 stone and size 22! Shopping, which was once my favorite pastime, became a nightmare.
